DINING IN OUR RESTAURANT
Kaikoura, a South Island coastal seaport, has long been famous for its crayfish (lobster) fishery, and naturally this delicacy features largely in the cuisine of the area.
The Pier’s restaurant is rated one of the best seafood restaurants in the region. The Pier is also proud to offer an extensive beverage list featuring local beers and wines of distinction.

LOCAL BEERS & WINES
The Pier Hotel restaurant has an extensive wine list featuring local wines of distinction for you to enjoy with your meal. The bar is fully stocked and we are proud to support the local Emporium Brewery by stocking a range of their award winning beers. We also offer non-alcoholic beverages and make a great coffee.

Playground
A Playground Made for Big Imaginations
Step outside and you’ll find our sun-kissed outdoor playground, a little world built for adventure. Kids can climb, slide, swing, and scamper while grown-ups enjoy a relaxed meal knowing the fun is safely fenced in.

Our play area features:
• A roomy wooden fort with bridges and hideaway corners that spark story-making energy
• A gentle green slide that feels like a smooth rush of “again, again!”
• A mini climbing wall perfect for confident explorers
• Swings that let little ones sail toward the sky
• A large trampoline enclosed with safety netting for endless bouncing delight
• Soft artificial grass underfoot to keep tumbles friendly
All of this sits just steps from the restaurant, with the ocean peeking through in the background. It’s a breezy, cheerful spot where children can burn energy and parents can breathe easy.
Whether you’re here for lunch, dinner, or a sweet seaside break, the playground adds a spark of joy to every visit.

Our kids’ menu comes with colouring fun, complete with pencils, so little diners can create their own masterpieces while they wait.
